Here are answers to some of the frequently asked questions we receive. If you have a question which isn’t listed here, please contact us.

How do I book a tour?
Once you’ve selected the tours you’re interested in, fill in the form on this page to let us know which tours you would like to take and on what days. We’ll get back to you with a confirmation and a request for the deposit so we can reserve the date for you.

How far in advance do I need to book?
We prefer at least two weeks notice, but if this isn’t possible, contact us anyway to see if we have availability. Please note that during our busiest season (December to February), we’re usually booked several months in advance.

Are children welcome on your tours?
Families with children are welcome. Please let us know the number of children and their ages and we may be able to suggest some activities that they would enjoy along the way.

Where does the tour start? Will you pick me up at my hotel?
The Oaxaca City Walking Tour begins at Santo Domingo church. For that tour, we ask you to meet us there. For all of our other tours, we will pick you up at your hotel at an agreed-upon time.

How do I make the payment?
A deposit is required to hold your reservation date. We request a deposit of 25% of the cost of the tour, which can be paid through PayPal (with a credit card or your PayPal account if you have one). The remaining balance is due at the end of the tour in cash – either in US dollars or pesos.

Do you accept credit cards?
For the advance deposit, you may pay with a credit card through PayPal, but for the balance, we request payment in cash.

Do you accept dollars or pesos?
Prices are listed in US dollars. We accept payment in either dollars or the equivalent in pesos.

What is included in the cost?
Transportation in a comfortable vehicle with air-conditioning and guide service is included in all of our tours except the Walking Tour of Oaxaca City which does not include transportation. Not included: Entrance fees to museums and archaeological sites, meals, snacks, drinks, and tips.

How do you handle cancellations and refunds?
The deposit of 25% of the tour cost is non-refundable. If you cancel 48 hours or more before the time of the tour, we will be happy to attempt to re-schedule and use your deposit toward a tour on a different date.
